hi, i'm rachel!

i’m a director, producer, editor, and overall creative based in los angeles, ca who loves telling stories that capture the chaos and wonder of what it means to be human.

growing up in brooklyn, ny and later moving across the country at 19, i've always existed in between places, between who i was and who i'm becoming. navigating that chaos is what drew me to creatively express myself from a very young age. from drawing to playing guitar, i was always searching for a way to translate what i felt into something tangible

at 15, i picked up my first camera and immediately fell in love with storytelling. I spent my first few years filming and editing hundreds of videos for YouTube, doing anything i could to get better at the craft. but, it wasn’t until i was rejected from every single film school out of high school and decided to take a gap year that solidified my love for the craft. it wasn’t just something i loved, it was something I couldn’t live without

since then i've continued to hone my voice at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts. i've been lucky to be part of countless projects, including producing a documentary that was a finalist at the student academy awards, where i was awarded for a documentary i produced.

as i come to the end of my film school experience, i’m excited to keep exploring my voice and discovering new ways to express the things we all feel but don’t always know how to say. i’m here to tell stories that connect us, that make us feel a little less alone, and that remind us of the joys in this one life we get to live
